Our Purpose

Church Camp exists to provide an intentional environment where students who are already following Christ and actively involved in their local church can be challenged to grow deeper in their faith.

Our desire is not simply to fill beds or create another summer event. We want to bring together students who desire to know Christ more deeply, understand His Word more faithfully, and return home better equipped to serve Him through the life of their local church.

Who Church Camp Is For…

Church Camp is designed for students from 6th grade through just-graduated seniors who:

  • Have trusted in Christ

  • Actively participate in the life of their local church

  • Demonstrate a desire to grow and serve as followers of Jesus

  • Are ready to participate and be challenged

We aren’t looking for perfect students. We are looking for young believers who are willing to grow.

We ask each participating church to intentionally select and personally interview the students they send.

This process helps church leaders determine whether students understand the purpose of Church Camp and are ready to participate in everything the week includes.

An Intentional Camp Experience

Strengthening the Local Church

We believe the local church matters. Christ has given His people the Church, and Church Camp is not intended to replace or compete with the ministry of the local church. Instead, it exists to serve and strengthen it.

By bringing together students and leaders from different churches, communities, states, and walks of life, students have the opportunity to step outside their normal environment, learn alongside other believers, and be challenged in new ways.

Our hope is that they return home encouraged, equipped, and ready to serve more faithfully in the churches God has given them.

Choosing Students Intentionally

One of the things that makes Church Camp unique is its intentionally smaller setting. We believe there is tremendous value in students being known, participating, asking questions, and working through biblical truth together.

Small groups are intentionally interactive and may stretch students beyond what is comfortable at first. Year after year, however, we have seen how rewarding that participation can be.

Throughout the week, students will experience:

  • Biblical teaching

  • Christ-centered worship

  • Intentional small-group discussions

  • Meaningful fellowship

  • Plenty of fun

We want everything we teach, sing, discuss, and do together to be shaped by Scripture and centered on Christ.

A Partnership of Churches

Church Camp is a partnership of local churches. Participating churches and leaders are expected to affirm the Church Camp Statement of Faith and work together within its theological convictions.

Church Camp isn’t meant to be the finish line of a student’s spiritual growth. Our prayer is that it becomes another tool in the hands of the local church—strengthening young believers so they return home ready to keep following Christ, serving their local church, and growing in the Christian life.
